Sometimes my emotions break because Safe and Sound.
I have a question for you. I have just finished mockingjay and in am really hurt and confused. Katniss and Peeta are so torn and destroyed, but is it possible that they still love each other? And that they are not together just because they don't have anyone else? I really hope it's that. :/ — dancingtillthesunlight
I’m sure they still love each other. I mean, throughout the book Katniss can’t decide if she’d prefer to be with Gale or not. At some points she says that she would. I think, though, that she always loved Peeta, the boy with the bread, the boy who saved her from starvation and gave her the little extra push to keep going and support her family. I think the appeal of Gale was only that that’s what Katniss thought she would have had if she hadn’t been in the Games. But the fact is that she was in the Games, and that changed her. Peeta really did care for Katniss, and Katniss for Peeta. I think it’s just that Peeta is more of a romantic. In interviews, he’s the more likable one, the one who has a way with words and a persuasive personality. Katniss is more of a fighter. She does what she has to do to survive, and she’s never really needed to be especially likable. They were both torn apart, Katniss had lost her sister, her mother didn’t live with her, and Peeta had lost his entire family. They were screwed up after that, who wouldn’t be? But I don’t think that they settled. I think they picked the person who they could depend on and love through what was going to be a hard road ahead.
Just imagine when The Hunger Games movie comes out we’ll all be gif-ing it and there’ll be so many amazing photosets and everything and I just can’t wait for March already.
Seriously, though, if someone told me where I could find that Joey Ritcher/Whitney Milam Hunger Games thing, I would love them forever. There might even be Lamb Stew involved. Just saying.
Because Goggle is mad at me for some reason and refuses to give me an answer.

“I’m only interested in how it affects your dynamic with Peeta, thereby affecting the mood in the districts,” he says.
“It will be the same on the tour. I’ll be in love with him just as I was,” I say.
“Just as you are,” corrects President Snow.
“Just as I am,” I confirm.
“Only you’ll have to do even better if the uprisings are to be averted,” he says. “This tour will be your only chance to turn things around.”
“I know. I will. I’ll convince everyone in the districts that I wasn’t defying the Capitol, that I was crazy with love,” I say.
President Snow rises and dabs his puffy lips with a napkin. “Aim higher in case you fall short.”
“What do you mean? How can I aim higher?” I ask.
“Convince me ” he says.
ASDFGHJKL; THIS IS PERFECTTTTTT.
What if when Jennifer Lawrence is asked what her favorite part of filming the hunger games is, she answers “The Lamb Stew.”
