Has anyone thought about how Peeta felt when the girl he has loved for at least a decade volunteered to take the place of her sister in something that could almost only promise death? I can only imagine that his heart was on the verge of completely breaking when Effie said, “Katniss Everdeen” before the crowd once she took Prim’s place. And I bet, in some way, when Effie called his name, he thought it was a blessing.
